In times of increasing individualization and polarization, it is all the more important to set a counterbalance: against loneliness and social coldness, which is affecting more and more people. In a society where division and intolerance are on the rise, we need cohesion and mutual support. The Short Film Day invites us to create and experience intense moments of community and to make connections: with the short films, with the moment, with our fellow human beings. filmfriend presents a selection of surprising, touching and thought-provoking short films on this year's focus theme “Forming bonds”.
