Twelve-year-old Marie is an excellent student and an outstanding cellist with a great future ahead of her. But no one suspects that she has a secret. She suffers from a degenerative eye disease... Even though her vision is still good enough to lead a reasonably normal life, she knows that one day she will have to live in the dark. Her concerned parents decide to send Marie to a special school for the blind. But this decision jeopardizes Marie's plans. She wants to take the entrance exam for a renowned music school. As much as she wants to achieve her goal, she also knows that she will not be able to do it alone. So she starts helping Victor, the weakest student in the class, with his homework. In return, he is to become Marie's eyes.
