Julia has only one dream: she wants to dance on the big stage! Far away from the capital, life is not easy for the young woman—her family has other problems than how to become a great dancer. One day, when she meets an old ballet dancer at one of the street performances, a door to the glittering world of ballet opens almost unnoticed. He recognizes her great talent and takes her to the legendary ballet school of the great Bolshoi Theater. But before the glitz and glamour, hard work, envy, and the constant ambition to become even better are now her everyday life. She wants to impress her strict teacher Galina and the brilliant choreographer Antoin and fight for her place in the front row as a prima ballerina.
